You are all guilty

I am Lucky

My wife and I have been on the same page for a long time now.

It is NOT spending money, it is investing.

The guns and ammo we have today will not be worth less the future if we care
for them.

Feel free to emulate me.

I usually just point to the closet and ask how much some pair of heels costs that she's never wore.
Usually causes her to change the subject to my unhealthy eating habits :D

postal workers in my neighborhood have nightmares about rocky mountain reloading.
I am a postal worker and NEVER complain about large bullet orders. When my coworkers find an exceptionally heavy box they always make me move it around saying its either mine or one of my friends..

I tell her "make you choice, do you prefer me at the shooting range/reloading bench (which happens to be in the laundry room, most of us live in apartments here in Old Continent :() or drinking beer at the bar?". That usually ends it.

Buying guns is a different animal, though. When I bought my carbine I just sneaked it into the safe, and when she found out it was too late, and I got away with a "oh, I got it really cheap" :D.

I just do what I do and that's it. I'm not a child and won't justify things so I can do them. I expect her to do the same. If I had to play those games I'd have stayed single.

My wife gives me some minor argument about guns in general, and a bit more about spending money that we really don't need to spend. Most all of what she says is right on the money. Sometimes I feel pretty guilty.

About the time that I think that she may be getting really tired of the whole firearm issue, she sends me back to get my P938 before we go out to walk the dog at 5:45 am. She says it gives her a bit of peace of mind. We have coyotes and snakes around here, ya know.

Its those times that I realize how much I really love this girl I married. 40 some years will do that to ya. And by the way, if I had to choose between her in high heels and more reloading stuff, well, factory ammo ain't so bad.

If any of the vendors actually had powder, i would probably place an order that would get me put in the doghouse too~

Honestly, my wife has never had one single complaint regarding my broad spectrum of hobbies, as I don't regrading her's. Unfortunately, my first wife of less than two years complained about every hobby I engaged in, hunting, fishing, camping, reloading, and you name it. Obviously, we need to be sure before saying "I do" that we are both, marrying the right person. And sadly, she has since, 30 yrs since, realized how selfish she had been regarding her attempt to change the person I was/am.

A good spouse is not selfish, and desires to see the other happy, and engaged in activities that are moral and Godly.

Thats funny Nord, I pull that one myself sometimes. If I can get it to the house Im usually good. I'll even give her the "well, I can take it back" bit if I have to. That usually works, it's gonna suck if she ever calls my bluff though.
