I fired my CZ-82 without ear protection at the outdoor range the other day just to remind myself how bad it is. It was sort of a training exercise, as I forget how loud a handgun can be without protection and if you need to use a handgun in an emergency situation, chances are you're not gonna be wearing ear protection. Well, it was pretty darn loud and that exercises should hold me for at least 10 years.
