I am THRILLED with the outcome of the elections last night!

HOWEVER, you guys KNOW what that means don't you? In four years you will WITHOUT A DOUBT have a chance to vote AGAINST HILLERY!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, and let me guess, it's going to be "the most important election of our lifetimes" and therefore anyone thinking of going third party should suspend those thoughts just for this one vote..."

Consider your words marked.

I'll be delighted to vote against her, although I'm afraid the Republicans will use her as an excuse to trot out a R.I.N.O.: McCain, for example, or Guiliani, or Colin Powell, or...

No. Make the common sense choice.

Condi Rice.

Oh, the dems are running a woman? Ok. We'll run a black woman.

Not only does this outdo them at their own stupid game, but she appears to be a very very very solid candidate.*

Mike

*admittedly, I've not researched her fully yet.

Hitlery Klintoon is ALREADY being touted by the [ahem] Mass Media for 2008.

One of the Nationalk Talking Heads [don't know which one, Mrs. Foggy was surfing the channels so fast @5:00AM today, I couldn't keep up] made some reference to "Hillary, or whoever runs for the Dems in 2008".

Now THAT'S an UGLY October Surprise.....

One of my profs said she was a hardcore and driven woman from his experiences at Stanford where she was provost. Apparently, they were having an issue with graduate student housing. Amazingly, the high housing prices in California were causing some grad students to live in their cars and so the students decided to protest for a "raise" in graduate housing allowances.

Supposedly, they trotted out this female grad student with a baby who was living in a car and she just started this horrible sob story. My prof says he was standing near Rice and as soon as saw the woman start the sob story she said something to the effect of, 'Well this issue is decided.' Needless to say they got an increase in the housing allowance.

I, too, fear that the RNC will feel the need to pander to the left and will back a RINO like McCain who has "earned" his turn (like Dole), thereby sacrificing the election in order to pay back a perceived obligation to a member of the party.

I'll vote for Condi Rice!! :D If Hillary keeps putting her foot in her mouth, she'll only appeal to Hollywood....like Kerry did.

Plese say it is not so. Voting against Hillary would be an honor, but I wouldn't want to take the chance she might actually win. :what: :fire: :cuss: :uhoh: :barf: :scrutiny:

Well then, 'ya got some time to find an electable 3rd party candidate. Got one??

Correct me if i'm wrong (which I am frequently), but doesn't HC have to face a re-election in 06? If she looses, she is out of the public eye for 2 years. That's a lot of baggage to overcome.

"Rice / Schwarzenegger

(provided he can be VP, have not checked on THAT)"
---------------

I don't think so. From US Constitution, Article II section 1:

"No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President"

The Vice President must be eligible to be President if the President becomes incapacitated.

Well McCain can't be trusted at all.He ran pro-gun then sold out to safe in Cal and made anti gun tv ads that aired in Colorado. If he runs against Clinton I would have to vote third party.Hope there would be someone with a chance of winning
Bob

Do y'all think that the US of A are ready to elect a black woman for POTUS in 2008?!?

I have some doubts about that. A lot of folks, especially in Dixieland won't vote for her.

Bring it on. She is no more electable than Kerry.

As another poster described, though, the dream scenario is this. Giuliani beats her for Senate in 2006.

Then its Rice/Giuliani in 2008.

Kraut, as a southerner by choice, I can assure you the stereo type of the south of the past are simply wrong. Yea, we have our bigots, we have our rednecks, we have all the usual variety of biped found in any society. What we also have is an historic stereotype that most who have never lived in the sourth still thinks is operative.

I will be willing to bet you the finest steak dinner at a waffle house of your choice that in general Condi will be accepted by southern whites long before she is accept by those elements of the black community who toe the NAACP party line. There is an exploding black middle class that gets virtually no mention in the US press yet it is visible in any major southern city. The NAACP is dreaming of its glories of yesteryear. It wants to maintain the iron grip it has had on public perception. Reality is the NAACP is slowly losing its grip on the black community. A good test for that is the last election and this election. Historically the NAACP delivers something like 95+% of the black vote to the Democrat party. This go 'round the estimates I've heard are in the low 80's. In a couple of weeks the election statistics will become available and we can see how the winds are changing.

The lady is a dream.

She called herself "A second amendment absolutist." She was a child during the Birmingham riots and saw her father stand guard over their house with a pole because he couldn't get a gun.

See also said she would like to be the commissioner of the NFL :D .

I don't think she drives a pickup.
