Yeah, I don't look at the cost of the meat, but as to the cost of the fun. :D the 8 bucks a shot is for Bismuth. Only people that shoot it are guys of means that want to shoot an OLD SxS or something that is not steel shot compatible, grandpa's old shotgun or something. Bistmuth, or steel for that matter, wouldn't even be on the market were it not for federal law concerning non-toxic shot on migratory waterfowl. You can google the history if interested. Think I've jacked this thread enough, LOL!

I mean what are they going to say to "Glock Guy" please wait sir until I get chance to reload?
Statistically speaking (police shootings) the average round expenditure of any given PD in hits vs shots fired is somewhere in the 1/~15 which means that a guy shooting a G19 needs 6 reloads to do the job of one revolver shooter. Obviously if the shooter is a bad shooter a Glock is much better than a revolver. I have witnessed a few shootouts and most don't go past a few rounds unless we are talking about the once in a lifetime N.Hollywood Robbery or gangland driveby. I think in the N.H Shootout an estimated round count went into the 1000's but even if it was just in the hundreds there were only 3-4 wounded, no deaths accept the 2 robbers. Both felons were shot a total of what, 4 times one a self inflicted? I carry a NY reload as well as speed strips and I don't worry too much about Glockguy.

Barnes XPB's.

125grn in my 2.25 sp101 and 140grn in my 4in Service Six. Both loaded with V.V n110 and small rifle primer. Loaded at mid level 357 levels.

Hunting rounds are 180 XTP's loaded hot ( 6.5 Blackhawk and a Marlin)

My sp101, Blackhawk and Marlin have never seen a 38 (my 686 and Service six were bought used so I cant say)

If you have a 357 shoot 357's.
Plenty of choices for 357 ammo that wont hurt but still pack a punch, the Golden Sabre's and the GDSB come to mind.

I load my own 158 grain LSWCHP's for home use, and usually carry Fiocchi 125 grain JHP +P's (Hornady XTP bullets)

148 grain wadcutters are not a bad choice. They do more damage than any other nonexpanding bullet.
