Your BUG or pocket carry revolvers

I like to use small revolvers as my pocket carry or as BUG..

A revolver is less apt to lockup as compared to a semi-auto having a FTE or FTF … no such thing as limp wristing with a revolver…. A revolver can be stuffed in a attackers gut and emptied as compared to a semi that will not cycle .. also a revolver can be fired while inside a jacket pocket …

I own 4 pocket carry revolvers
642 , 85NV , LCR327 and a big bore a Charter 44spl Boomer .. which is basically the size of the 642 .. all Bug

That 85nv is intriguing. Is it a steel frame or alloy, and what length is the barrel?

The LCR327 is the most shootable.. could easily and at times is my primary… with 327 or 32 H&R
perhaps it is the best small snubbie their is
With six shots of 327 or 32 H&R … or maybe
32 Long LWC’s … really good trigger .. super fast follow up shots with 32 H&R … at times I carry this revolver strong side OWB .. primary.. I have zero reservations with this … 327 recoils similar to 38+P and performs like 357 …
Now you can purchase a Taurus 327 … Im actually considering one … amazing options are available … 32 Short , 32 Long , 32 H&R & 327
I want a Taurus 327 3".

I carried a smith 442 with a fiber front sight installed but lately it's a kimber dl. I like the extra weight it makes the recoil a lot more comfortable. I've seen to many shooter induced semiautomatic jams at the local shoots to bet my life on one.

I am the odd man out here with an Interarms Rossi 885. The unbobbed hammer is the original, and a gunsmith buddy of mine bobbed the other one. Finally got to try it out yesterday - slick as oil on a doorknob. DeSantis pocket holster and it slides right out very easily for a pocket draw. Not sure how much pocket time it will get, but it's a great option! I have pocket carried small autos back in the day, (PPK), but at least twice a pocket carried auto somehow had the mag release depressed...that would have been bad if needed for an actual self defensed encounter.

Sigh. I may just start throwing the 442 in a pocket (right side cargo pocket of my shorts or pants when it gets a little cooler). Or maybe the Cobra on the off-side.

And since view @fastbolt posts, I went online and ordered a couple more Fedoras (I didn't have a blue one).
THR has the biggest bunch of enablers on the internet my friend 😉.
If they don't have you buying guns that you don't really need, it's holsters, ammo, reloading gear.

Heck I had to buy a Tilley hat. Now @W.E.G. has me looking for jeans.
By the way thanks for the link. They are currently out of my size.

Enablers, Enablers, Enablers!!!!
Thanks my friends👍

Fastbolt, whatever became of 'hats n' gats'? Used to enjoy that on Facebook.
The only revo that sees much pocket carry is a long suffering 340SC in an Alabama kydex pocket rig.
It shows the miles, but still works just fine, and isn't too unpleasant to shoot with full charge wadcutters. Real magnums are another matter, but the last two chambers are Fiocchi 140 FMJs, for a maybe bear encounter. The first three are snakeshot.

The original private forum indicated by the logo on the Zippo broke up, with the people behind it going in a couple different directions. You can still find snub revolver oriented forums, but the emphasis on the hats seems to have faded. I think I now own more Fedoras than Western hats ... and more ball caps than both, combined. The ball caps are the result of too many years of getting swag at armorer classes from gun companies, with some beer & whiskey company hats added, as well as all the different ball caps offered by cigar companies.

Yeah, I think I ordered a book from them after they organized the new site. I'd just been preoccupied (like during covid, and with some family injuries), and couldn't remember if I'd rejoined the guys at the new site. I lost track of Michael after he retired (and during covid), and Jason. I couldn't remember if I'd joined the new site, and have changed computers and misplaced my old password, so I rejoined.
