Your entire collection

I have seen some truly impressive collections. The one that sticks in my mind was the old guy living on the edge of a small town who had guns stacked all over the house. It was hard to walk from room to room for all the guns laying around. I can't begin to guess at the number, must have been a couple thousand guns. He had been buying and trading for guns his whole life and couldn't recall ever selling one.

My collection (it's a small collection, but it's something!)....

IMHO, that is an excellent rifle collection. You’ve got one from each of the ‘basic gun groups.’ :)

I'm just here for the articles.....I don't look at the pictures.....HONEST!! :neener:

I think all my guns oxidized into that little pile of rust over there.....I don't own anything anymore....

Ammo....?? I just buy it to feed my former addiction!

Accident

Terrible, just terrible, my guns needed some fresh air so I took them fishing. Moby Catfish swamped my boat and they are now in the Wisconsin River somewhere between Spring Green and Prairie du Chien. The screaming and the thrashing about was awful to see and the only thing I was able to save was my broken sling shot and my old BB gun. Honest.

Nice bunch of pictures!I realy like the ones that the safety is not on,these must be the guys that say if you have not had a ND then its only a matter of time until you do!

Just to clarify...
1. I believe in doing all things legal.
2. I realize that Big Bro already knows which guns I purchased from dealers.
3. But Big Bro does not know which guns I still possess....at this moment.
4. I am strongly anti "inventory". There should never be a complete listing of ALL firearms you still own. It is never to your advantage.

1. Then don't do it.

2. But tell me, if the feds know you have one gun, do you think you will hide the ones not acquired through an FFL from them when they come looking?

Thanks for the photos SaxonPig, now when my wife asks "don't you have enough guns yet?" I can say "nope" and show her your photos :)

Some great pictures, guys. Thanks for sharing. SaxonPig, I hope you're getting each of those guns the love and care they deserve.

But, oh man, posting "I don't have any guns" in the "show us your guns" threads never gets old. Just like the, "Hot enough for you?" or "Hard at work or hardly working?" Those classics never get old.

3. But Big Bro does not know which guns I still possess....at this moment.

Guess what? They really don't care either. I know it's hard to believe, but there isn't a special agent assigned to each and every gun owner, carefully watching the internet hoping that you'll mess up and reveal that SKS you bought from the back of a pick up truck after a gun show in 1993.

I am strongly anti "inventory". There should never be a complete listing of ALL firearms you still own. It is never to your advantage.

Yeah, your wife might find out how much you've really spent. ;)

Chevelle, what's at the bottom of this pic? I'm interested in the optics and mounting system.

DSCF2643.gif

That looks like it would fit in well with the others I have. Thanks! :)

Re the notion that bad guys can track our identity via the net was discussed here:

http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=264866&highlight=$500

Someone surmised that it was possible to locate a collector's physical address off the net.

A person who knows their way around a computer can back track from your post on here and find out where the computer you typed your response in this thread is located.

Texasrifleman said,

No they can't.
Not without getting help from your ISP.
The only way that can happen is if you own a registered IP address which very few folks do.

If that's true, find someone to tell you who I am and where I am, using these tricks. There's $500 bucks in it for you.

I need to see the steps documented and where the info came from.

500 cash.

A poster named Spaknaveli actually located Texasrifleman.

Texasrifleman then said,

Spaknaveli should scare you all.

Though he did not use the system described above, locating the posting PC by "back tracking", he did indeed track me down and even called my house. He didn't find the location of the PC since I am not at home, I am using a Verizon wireless EVDO card but that's nitpicky and the end result is the same. I saw the missed call because Vonage emails me when I get a call.

The detractors (I'm formerly one) should be scared.

I appreciate him doing that, it was indeed a real eye opener.

Since I invited it I'm certainly not mad or anything, indeed quite the opposite.

Knowing how it was done will allow me to take some steps, but it's very impressive.

If he wants I will buy him a Molon Labe had from Correia as thanks.

Then there was a beef about the $500. Texas wasn't going to pay, so he ended up paying half that.

Saxon doesnt have a collection; he just has alot of spares :p

but, seriously...holy crap. How many of those do you actually shoot?
