I like the M4 style with an 18'' barrel in 6.5 grendel gas piston. Oh and no carry handle.

I am very particular about ar's. I would have this one but........... I live in a communist state and the panic has driven prices through the roof! At the gun store DPMS .223 upper for $900!!! Hell No.

My tongue was firmly implanted in my cheek there. I love the AR platform. It is my HD weapon of choice when my 12ga. isn't. I just haven't ever built one (yet?). I'd like to though.

It would look a lot like your top picture.....

There is also a list for a 6.5 grendel and 6mmAR Turbo (necked down 6.5g), the price is about the same. Just change the barrel and BCG.

For super reliability, i would start with a POF SPR, and modify from there. Different stock and handguard, trigger, and for the 6.5/6mm version, a different barrel.

yeah the top one would cost about the same as what you have listed, as for the one on the bottom as it is pictured it'd run about 2,995 if my memory services me corectly (its a 308 btw).

I've always had the bad habit of being completely unable to pick up a gun without customizing it heavily, which is also why at present I have so few of them.

But at the same time thats what would make an ar perfect for me, I can just upgrade and upgrade to no end.
