My first one is SIG P210 (Legend,etc.) . I like all the reviews and the plus's, but the main minus is "Cost is an Object" . I will never be able to afford one (unless the rich uncle inheritance comes into play) . That's not in my future . If it were, I'd rather keep my uncle . What is your "Want to but never have gun" ?:)

H&K P7M8, and since the Browning Hi-Power has skyrocketed in price in the last ten years, might as well include that, too. I saw a new MKIII no-frills HP at the gun counter about two weeks ago, >$1000 + tax.

HK p2000 in .357 SIG. Like them a lot, but not that much. Cost to much (for me,) then there's HK's CS/parts availability.:rolleyes: Also don't know if this would count since it's not a pistol, except in the eyes of the ATF, but back plate "fun switch" for glocks.

HK94SG1 w/ Leupold 6X scope, HK93A2 stock with adjustable cheek piece.

Oh man I wish I had bought that carbine 30 years ago...

HK P7M13

Had one years ago, sold it for some dumb-ass reason. Probably to buy some stupid double-stack polymer framed wunder-nine.
These days the prices are such that I'll never be able to afford one again.
Oh well...I enjoyed it while I had it.

Favorite and won't own it? I find negation in this question.

If you are asking favorite and could not find one yet- Beretta 93R

A 'favorite' that you won't/don't own is self contradictory in most case, but I'll play along.:D The ones on my list are handguns I probably won't ever own due to price...just being out of my reach financially. The first is probably a special edition/group buy HK with a colored frame. I think there were maybe 500 of the gray USP frames made ever, so the price is really high. An HK Mk23 is something I'd love to have but the best price I've ever seen is $1750, a lot for a handgun. Along those same lines I'd love to own a Wilson CQB or Spec-Ops 9 but they're a bit too rich for my blood. A tricked out racegun from STI is in the same category.

Of guns I'd love to have and maybe could if I'm lucky I'd list the BHP with the full-boat customization from C&S. Beavertail welded on, new night sights, refinish, etc. Steep but probably possible. Ditto the HK P30LS with a full workup by Gray Guns.

Since I may never own an Ed Brown, Wilson, or Les Baer 1911, I plan on getting a Dan Wesson Guardian 9mm.

Brugger and Thomet MP9 or a Kriss vector full-auto with the 5.5" barrel. These were chosen due to never going to get the licensing required to be in possession of them.

Love to have but will never (be able to), own...Beretta Model 93R.

Love to have but will probably never (be able to afford), own...SIG P210.

S&W 4506-1

The reason - S&W stopped producing parts for 3rd Gen autos a couple years back, and it weighs a ton. IMHO, it's the best "combat" .45 ACP ever made.

Probably the Mauser C96 Broom handle. They are costly, but not prohibitively so. I probably won't own one because I can't justify the gap between price and utility. Its not a great candidate for concealed carry or competition, which are my only requirements for a hand gun.

But I really like them and would love to have one.

The other favorite that I'll never own is the .45 ACP Luger.

There's a bunch of semiautos that I would like to have but I'm 99% sure I'll never own. Here we go:
HK P7;
Luger P08;
Korth pistol;
HK P9S;
HK VP70Z;
SIG-Sauer P226SL Stainless;
Delta AR Top Gun;
Coonan.

The list could go over and over; some are too expensive for me, some are too hard or near impossible to find, some have no real reasons to stay in my safe.

That said, the first two positions of my impossible wish list are held by two revolvers:
1)Ma.Te.Ba. MTR8;
2)Ma.Te.Ba. 2006M.

The SVI Tiki 1911 Crockett uses in the Miami Vice movie. That thing looks so sweet, but I don't have $6000+ to toss down on a carry gun.

Sig p210. A grail gun for which I probably will never have the pocket change

Due to money: A Sig210, a Korth revolver, a Coonan .357, maybe an L.A.R. Grizzly, and the Automag (44), of course.

The Coonan would be the most likely, due to cost and practicality compared to the rest.

The Auto-Mag . Before they were available they were takeing advanced orders for the gun @ $ 217.00 . I was too cautious . The price kept going up & I never got one . I did get to shoot one that a friend had . It was fun but felt like a two - by - four grip & I have large hands , long fingers . Just fell in love with it but will never buy one.
