My reloads, 16 gr. H110, Hornady 158 gr XTP. It's a pretty hot load for a 2-1/2" barrel, looks like a howitzer muzzle flash.Which ammo is that? Thanks.
Thinking about a 357 revolver for carry. My wife has a LCR which is bedside gun. What is your favorite carry revolver? Factory or custom grips? Why is it your favorite? Holster?
I seldom carry a revolver, but when I do it's a S&W nickel Model 38 with wadcutters.
The question does not qualify the purpose. My primary concealed handgun is a Colt Commander in .45 ACP. Standard checkered grips do, but I tend to use 'fancy' wood grips in the same configuration. Secondary is a model 10 3" revolver with stiff loads. (Prefer the 158 gr WCHP ammo when I can find it.) I would prefer a three inch model 13 but haven't found one yet.
For open carry I carry a Colt Government Model (full weight) in .45 ACP or a S&W model 19 four inch.
S&W 640 Pro with 158 gn SWC +P loads and Hogue grips in an IWB holster for EDC. I like the extra weight of the st. stl. frame, and the Hogue grips fit my hand really well.
S&W 642 with factory grips for summertime carry in a pocket holster, same loads. I'd like to reduce the thickness of the 'package' and would be all over a Kimber K6 if they were available in my state (they're not). So I'm looking at a Sig 938 to fill that need.

What are the primary considerations? Size? Weight? Capacity? Exposed hammer, shrouded, hammerless? If money is no object many like the S&W 340PD because it is light as a feather, can handle .357 Mag if needed, easily slipped into a pocket holster, plus it looks really cool with the titanium cylinder. Expensive and recoil is substantial. Yet it does "check a lot of boxes" for a revolver carried often and only shot very occasionally.
I forgot the why.Revolver? Two. Both 3". Small bore, big bore.
