This whole UN-marking thing for imported/exported firearms is causing a big fuss up here in canada, because we are now taking part in it. People are complaining that its going to jack up prices for firearms a couple hundred dollers, and de-preciate the value for antique or collectable firearms. Although I only agree with the second part of that statement, I just recently got my reciept for my glock 17 that I paid for about 2 weeks ago. It's on its way, about another week for shipping, pretty pumped about getting this as it will be my first 9mm firearm.
Anyways, on the reciept there is the following serial number
LCD0xx (ICN41xx)
The 'x's are actually numbers that I have purposly left out, but I'm just curious to see if this marking that they're all talking about is part of the serial number.
Is it normal for the serial number to contain the CD or CN in there? Or is that how all of your glocks are?
Until I see it in person I won't be able to tell if they've put anything like 'canada' or CA on the frame somewhere else..
So if you could just check your S/N of your glock and just compare it and let me know if this s/n is normal, i would appreciate it.
Not a big deal at all, more curiousity than anything.
