Giving up the practice of doing something that is perfectly legal (posting a photo of one of your favorite legally-owned firearms on the internet) is giving up.

Do not allow yourself to either kneel to the new gods of political correctness (I kneel only before one God) , or live in fear of technology or, especially, our own government.

In the immortal words of the legendary Porter Waggoner, "I'll go down swinging."

The government doesn't care about your personally owned firearms. Besides, if you live (or have lived) in a state where private sales can be accomplished without paperwork, who really cares?

Uh, you think the government can't find access that search engine? Or that anything you do on a smart phone, tablet or PC can't be tracked?

Let's face it: we are so far beyond anything Orwell could have imagined that it just doesn't matter anymore. (And for some reason, I keep picturing scenes from that classic 70s sci-fi movie with the beautiful Jenny Agutter Logan's Run ... )

Enforced population control is on the table these days

And this is what Jenny Agutter looks like now.

The bottom line and point is that if you use modern phones, or internet, what you give up is privacy. Everything you say or do is subject to being listened to or read by google and other entities. Smile, and remember what I am presently typing is not private to you, or this board. You are in fact being watched.

Yeah, if you just blindly accept all the default settings and buy into their "convenience" features.

Google, et al, themselves give you the tools to help protect your privacy. You just have to use them.
