Just kind of curious about what others' observations are I guess. I don't do very much local shopping as almost all is online. Some things I have noticed:

In the past, I shopped almost exclusively at MidwayUSA, but have now shifted mostly to Brownell's. I think a large part of it has to do with their merger with Sinclair Int'l. I can shop both sites with one shopping cart. I believe(my perception) that they have better promotions too. Add to that the Q&A box plus reviews for the parts on the Brownell's sites. I have used the Live chat feature too and was linked to a part I couldn't find otherwise. Midway's shipping is legendary, but Brownell's ain't too bad either.

I do buy from Natchez and Midsouth too, but usually only when I need something not found at the two above. I have no complaints other than their websites are kind of a chore.

Again, these are just my observations, not trying to sound like a fanboy or anything. Hopefully not too far off topic.

It seems to me that being able to shop from Sinclair and Brownells with the same cart is irrelevant since, from what I can see, their inventories are the same (correct me if I'm wrong).

I use Brownells and MidwayUSA. What annoys me, though, is that it seems like when I need something (i.e. 7.62x54R reloading equipment) one site rarely has everything I need. I hate having to make two orders for something like that. I often try Amazon first since I get Prime shipping.

I have several. My favorite online retailers are

Midsouth; Don't like their website but can pick up locally. Wish they'd keep powder in stock more.

Midways USA: Always satisfied with them, website is a little hard to navigate though.

AIM Surplus

I've really liked MidwayUSA ever since I have started buying from them. Their website is excellent and even though it isn't super fancy looking, I find it so much easier to navigate than Brownell's- I really hope they keep it the way it is. They also are really good with customer care. All I know is I put in an order late on a saturday afternoon/evening and they got it out the door by the end of the day. I'm sure that I could nickel and dime searching the internet to save a little money, but why waste the time when Midway's service is so good.

I have also used Brownell's and have no complaints, except the layout of their website. As a plus, their packages do get to me sooner because they're located in Iowa.

I prefer midway but I look at sinclair and browneels and midsouth - midsouth seems to have better prices but stock is generally short. Once I find what I'm looking for though, I usually check amazon to see if they have it in stock for prime account holders - free shipping and sometimes cheaper.

I don't buy online enough to have a favorite, I guess back when ammo was plentiful most of my online shopping was with J&G Sales or Samco for ammo. My guns have been bought either from my favorite local store or wherever I can find what I am looking for. I have actually purchased three rifles through the For Sale section of this website.

Midway; the NRA Roundup is without a doubt the greatest contribution from a retailer that I can recall. I think we as shooters and folks of the "gun culture" owe Larry, Brenda, and the entire company a big THANK YOU!
With that said, I also like Wideners, Ammo Man, SWFA, Able's, and Optics Planet.
I used to buy tons of ammo from CTD, but have not for some time after the last go-around. If they ever come down to average prices, I might reconsider.

Brownell's does the NRA round up too but it is not added automatically to your order like with Midway.

It seems to me that being able to shop from Sinclair and Brownells with the same cart is irrelevant since, from what I can see, their inventories are the same (correct me if I'm wrong).

They do have some overlap, especially since they joined, but Brownell's is more gun parts and gunsmithing tools while Sinclair specializes in reloading equipment and benchrest type shooting needs.

I still do the majority of my buying from Midway USA but when the smallest package costs 19.00 for ups to deliver, I look elsewhere first.

I'm out in the sticks and have a post office box at a post office that is only open 4 hours, all of which are during the time I have to be at work.

Grafs often gets the business but they don't have the selection Midway has.

For parts, MidwayUSA.
For reloading stuff, Midsouth or Titan reloading.
For optics or flashlights, Optics Planet.
For ammo, SGAmmo.
For guns, Bud's.

Midway, Brownells, UScav, Botach tactical, Cabelas, and Rangerjoes. Pretty much my go to stores for anything firearm/knife/military related. The rest I can get from local mom and pop stores.

Pretty hard to not find w/e you are looking for between Midway and Brownells, and they have hard to beat prices to boot. You always know you get what you pay for there. I'd imagine Bud's is right up there too. I'm doing my first dealing with them right now (waiting on a semi-auto 12 gauge which is also my first online gun purchase, free shipping is hard to beat and there price was the best)

I tend to shop Palmetto State Armory a lot. They seem to have good prices on ammo, guns, ammo, magazines and optics. Shipping is sometimes a bit slower than others, but it is usually cheap ($7 for $150 order) which is an issue I've had with Midway and Brownells. ($10+ shipping for $30 orders).

I also hit amazon quite a bit for stuff like tools, earmuffs, books, even magpul accessories. If I need something quick I order it from there, since I have Prime and get free 2-day shipping. (Well worth the $79/year)

This would have been better as a poll, but I'm not sure how long this thread will go without being locked anyway since it's primarily promotional. But since you asked, my "go-to" gun site for random stuff is midwayusa. More specific stuff goes to specific sites.

I live at the "end of the road". All my shopping is internet. Most gun related stuff I get from Midway, except ammo. I would spend good money to go to the nearest town (30 miles) so shipping costs are a wash for me.
