If it got down to your last auto that you'd keep, which would it be? It is not the prettiest, most expensive, or interesting of my guns, but I am very impressed with my Glock 29 for its power/size features, and its reliability and accuracy. About all I could ask of a CCW or "working gun". Utilitarian, and probably durable enough for a lifetime, or easy enough to fix for the mildly talented. What is yours?

That would be an extremely difficult choice for me but it would probably be between my P226 and P228 and probably my P228.

Only owning one, a Gen 2 Glock 19, I guess it would be that one... I have bought and sold a large number of various autos over the years but haven't really found one that I'm loyal to that way. Hopefully the Glock will be like my Model 10.

S&W M&P 40c W/night sights.

My last to get rid of would be my S&W M&P 40c with night sightsit is the most versatile gun I own and even in a SHTF situation if I could only take one with me that would be it. It is easily concealable if needed and I have an xgrip extension and full size mag to make it a full capacity gun. I am getting a stormlake 9mm barrel, with some 9mm mags so it is convertible to a 9mm by only switching barrels.

I love my M&P it is the only gun I have ever bought new and I hate to think what kind of position I would have to be in to make me let that one go.:uhoh:

I agree with the M&P 40c; probably the last I'd want to see go although any of my 5 M&P 40's would be fine.

That's a tough one. If I had to pin it down it would have to be one of the two in the middle of the picture, the HK 45C or the SIG P220.

I don't even own the auto that I would keep if I only could have one!

If I had to only own one auto from now on I would choose either a G17 or a 1911. The sheer availability and relatively low cost of replacement parts would be more important than any other factor and both handguns are versatile enough to fill any role. Maybe not perfectly, but acceptably. I would lean toward the Glock simply because I think it would shoot well with minimal maintenance for 30 or 40 years.

If it has to be AUTO ? P-90 Ruger 45 acp last hand gun? Super blackhwak 44 mag longer range can drive nails (ok out the other side but you get the point)

If it really came to it, my last auto would be my Bersa Thunder 380 because it was given to me by my father in law and brothers in law upon the birth of my first child. Sentimental, yes, but them's my reasons.

ETA: thankfully, I don't see that ever happening, because that wouldn't be my first choice otherwise :)

It'd be a tough call between my S&W 1006 and 4516-1. The 1006 is a better range, hunting and HD gun, but doesn't conceal well. The 4516 is large enough to be a range gun, but carries decent, and with .45 Super loads, the disparity in power is fairly small.

480 Alaskan - He did say "Revolver" - over in the Revolver forum.

I guess if I could only have one, it'd have to be my 1911.
Although I'd hate to give up my Yugo Tokarev

My Centurion model Beretta 92D although it did fail me once when I accidentally loaded a 40 S&W round in the magazine. It almost fed that too.

How exactly does a 9mm pistol "almost chamber" a .40 S&W cartridge? :scrutiny:

Not even a Glock chamber is that loose.
