Your most accurate "little" pistol?

I think we need to define 'little' here. The XD is the same size as a Combat Commander.

I tend to think of a 'little' gun as one that serious gun folks would consider as a backup gun... something like a Kahr or smaller. Or a Makarov at the very biggest.

I have a P32, a Makarov and a Combat Commander in 38 Super and I don't think it's quite fair to compare them in accuracy. With the P32, I'd be tickled pink to put five shots in 5" at 25 yards off hand, with the 38 Super that isn't too challenging.

I would say I have been very surpised at how well the KelTec P32, Phoenix HP22, Kahr P9 Covert and Makarvo have shot. Before I started buying them, most of my experience with small guns had been with 5 shot Smith revolvers and, Bob Munder aside, it's pretty difficult to get target accuracy with them. At 15 yards shooting 124 +P Gold Dots, my Kahr put all shots into about 2" from offhand slowfire on my first time out. I was very impressed. I can't claim quite the same with my Mak but maybe 4" at 15 yards with Barnaul ammo. The P32 usually doesn't regularly shot past 7 yards but a soda can at 20 yards is achievable.

Now we can talk about the Combat Commander... ;)

Glock 27

I shot a 100% on my department qualification course with it today. I was surprised I did as well with the little G-27 as I did my issued Beretta 96-G.

"I don't really like .380 or 9mm MAK caliber guns. Most are
cheap, cheaply made..almost crude.. and have horrid recoil due to the blow-back action."

Huh,? never seen so much wrong in
one paragraph.
The Mak is on a par with some of the best guns ever made. Accurate, exc.
quality, tough.!!

I have a Colt "Junior Colt" in .22 short that is surprisingly accurate at short distances (10-15 feet). It is also amazingly loud when fired. Sounds like a cannon.

A decent smith can get 2"@25m,M21

.22 Lr Beretta. The gun starts at 5" long, 11 ozs, ends up being .5" longer. Now that is truly a small gun, and that is really amazing accuracy from it. Some of the guns mentioned in this thread are no smaller or lighter than a Colt Woodsman, with a 4" barrel, and that is a target-gun.

My Walther PPKS 380, never bench checked it, but off hand on a good day for me it will put the whole mag in the "A zone" top of an IPSC target at 45 ft. After that I knew it would shoot better than me.:D
