Sometimes I use a few different full size silhouette targets, mostly for new shooter's targets but usually I use small printed targets.
I have two targets that I print by the thousands on 8.5x11 inch paper.
One is a simple silhouette and the other is a head.
I use these targets for both handgun and rifle shooting at most all distances.
The targets have a one inch bullseye for "target" shooting. There is a 4x6 inch elliptical circle "killing zone", which I consider acceptable performance for most shooting. The main body of the targets are about 7 inches across, which is a good size for COM shooting.
I have a simple scoring system. 100 percent or I'm dead. If I get a hit outside of the circle or COM, whichever I'm shooting at, I figure I missed the BG and he didn't miss, so I'm dead.
Another target I like to shoot a lot is a 2x2 foot square steel plate with a 18 inch silhouette painted on it.
I have a thing about shooting small handguns at 50-100 yards. I set goals for myself, like 50/50 hits with a 2 inch S&W J Frame, standing.
I recently bought a Micro Desert Eagle. The gun has good sights and does well at 50 yards.
Two misses.
