If I remember correctly, this movie was posted elsewhere with the description that this guy was about to lose his Class 3 license and have to give up his Class 3 weapons, so he decided to destroy them, or at least this one. Don't know if this is true or not, but that's the story I remember.

Yup, 300 rounds full auto is hot, especially with 75 round drums. I'd guess around 700F. Though I doubt he stopped because the barrel warped... the M16 has gone 500+ rounds of continuous full auto before the barrel warped so I am sure the AK barrel is good for a similar number.

More likely he stopped because it just gets darn uncomfortable to hold a rifle after it gets that hot and he wasn't wearing gloves. It also serves as a demonstration of why engineers no longer use oil and grease soaked wood to encase hot steel parts.

If we were betting I'd bet he was a lisensed Manufacturer, and spent $100 on a parts kit... and less on the whole gun than he spent in ammo destroying it.

I know a guy who is getting his Manufacturers paperwork... and he's the kind of guy who might do something like this...


Also, I've met people who took lisensed Ak recevers and had new parts kits put on... so as long as the reciever's OK... you are fine (And that's what these people with too much money do...cause they can!)

Stupid. Rather than destroying a perfectly good AK, he could've sent it to me. That and the fact that he's totally irresponsible. On the 3rd drum, his first 5 or 6 shots aren't showing any impact. That means he's shooting beyond his "berm" and god only knows where they're going. You see him staggering while he's reloading. I don't trust people so my first thought is "this guy's drunk."

However in this guy's defense, I can promise you he's having fun.
