I'm thinking of ordering one of the Rossi matched pair rifle/barrels for my 12 year old son. He can shoot a 30-30 but as a small kid I think he's better off with a bit lighter rifle for his first hunting season. I'm looking at the Rossi Triple Play, .22, .243, and 20ga with youth sized stocks with only 12.5" pull. I'm hoping that I can purchase the adult stocks later as my son grows.

I don't expect this to be a Weatherby right out of the box. Not for this price, but I also have a younger son and would hope this Rossi would last and be accurate for several years to come.

Has anyone heard anything bad about these rifles?
