Zastava-Remington AK's

Remington is already importing the Zastava mauser bolt actions. I don't see how you are making the leap to them importing AK style rifles.

Yeah, where's the AK connection to Remington in that article? Did anyone else notice that the article in the original post was from the Xinhua news agency. You know, the same people who plagiarized an article from the Onion and tried to pass it off as real?

Well, as it is on the EAA website, who is also importing Zastava pistols (Remington doesn't import handguns, either), I think it is pretty well settled that EAA is doing the importing and not Remington.

If you notice, the address for Spartan Arms (Remington's import division) is or at least was the same as EAA's.

Awesome look at that link to Zastavas website they make some cool guns. How about NEW manufacture 59\66 SKSs they make them! and some cool looking AK sporting variants.

Well they did buy out the CD/Zastava .22 bolt actions and re stocked and badged them.

Are you kidding me? This is awesome. Remington is really sticking its neck out here, what with two EBR types now. When Remington dumped Zumbo, I went out and bought an 1187 to show my gratitude. For this, it's easy to figure out which gun I'll buy from them - one of the AKs, of course!

EAA is also listing the Zastava Black Arrow .50 BMG rifle for sale. Perhaps it will be more than just vaporware.

I had heard a rumor a while back that EAA was going to do this, but do not recall where. Perhaps they want to replace the Saiga line. Of course the election is close, so they have a tight window of opportunity should it go the wrong way for the firearms industry.
