Thought I would share in case anyone shoots these. This is my 357 mag practice load. Shoots to the same POA as a 125 XTP. 22 grains of W296 with a federal magnum primer, starline brass. Chrono's at 1520 FPS from my 4.2" sp101. Shot into milk jugs full of water. Stopped in the 6th jug and went straight as an arrow.

For comparison here is a 125 xtp with the same load. Stops in the 4th jug.

140 XTP with I think 18.5 grains W296. Don't remember the velocity

That zero JSP might make a decent bullet for hogs or beer defence. I think the XTP would be better on thinner skinned critters. I've shot 2 deer with them. I don't think they will expand quite as dramatically on game, water jugs really tear up a bullet.

I use the zero 158gr hp bullet in my marlin 1894 357 mag in nra silhouette lever action pistol cartridge matches. One great bullet and the price is right.

I use zeros for all my loads, except 357 mag where I use an xtp hornady 158. The zero 158 jhp can be loaded in my same die setup without any changes, the col stays the same.

The zero bullet is super accurate, and just a great way to go. Only a cent more than Berry’s and much better IMO. Trick is to buy them 2 or 3k at a time. I’ve used Montana gold as well, but zero is a cent cheaper or so, and just as accurate. Plus I know zero uses a true copper jacket, while idk about Montana gold.

I use only jacketed because of lead exposure issues at the range and on the cleaning bench.

At 1520 fps I'm really surprised it didn't expand more. I'm using the Sierra 125 JSP at about 1,100 fps and it expands to a full mushroom in water. Unfortunately the Sierra isn't as accurate as the 125 XTP or even the 125 Speer TMJ.
