I was shopping on the Georgia Arms website for some defensive 9mm ammo. They carry 9mm ammo loaded with 115 and 124 grain Gold Dots, but in 147 grain 9mm JHP ammo, they do not use Gold Dots because they say the bullet design causes cases to bulge.
I asked what bullet they use, and the response I got was that their 147gr 9mm JHP ammo is loaded with Zero bullets. Georgia Arms claims that the Zero 147gr JHP is the same bullet design (but not the same manufacturer) as a Winchester bullet. I would guess they mean it's the same bullet design as the 147gr JHP used in the Winchester White Box ammo. I was also able to find sources on the internet saying that Fiocchi uses Zero JHPs in some of their cartrdiges.
What do you think of Zero bullets? If their 147gr 9mm JHP bullet really is the same design as the bullet used in the WWB ammo, then I feel comfortable using it as my carry ammo, since WWB JHPs feed well in my Bersa and expand consistently (albeit without any fancy "talons" or "claws").
