Now that I have your attention, I was wondering. Most people I know, and from the looks of it on this board as well, own multiple guns in the same caliber. The thing is - they own multiple revolvers in the same caliber, but don't seem to own multiple pistols. So a little poll to answer the question.

Do you own multiple revolvers in the same caliber - yes or no
multiple pistols in the same - yes or now
more revolver pairs?
more pistol pairs?

Me thinks the answer is going to be more revolver pairs - just because they have more "character".:D

This looks like fun. I have three 9mms, three .45s, but one's a revolver, three .357s, and five .38s. I only have one .22 pistol and think I need a revolver or two.

I own more pairs of autos because I just own more autos. In fact I own, like, 4 pairs of 9mm.

Though I'm more of a 40 or 45 guy.

Revolvers...

I have a thing for S&W k-frames. I own several. They're "just right" in so many ways.

I own multiple revolvers in .45 Colt, for Cowboy shooting. I own revolvers in .38 spl, and pistols in various calibers with multiples in .45 ACP, AND I have a pistol and a revolver that also match in calibers. Revolver pairs (I have a consecutive pair) were bought for CAS, and had a special price for two. It was economics and the game, not character. :)

I think the multiple revolvers in the same caliber is winning because the 357/38 dominates the market in revolvers. I'm guessing the people who voted for that own 357s/38s.

There isn't really any semiauto caliber that dominates that market. The closest may be 9mm or 45ACP.

Life's ultimate question

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now that I have your attention, I was wondering.

This is definitely NOT Life's Ultimate question. That would be something like do you know where you be / go if your heart suddenly stopped. How many psityols you own of a given calibre may have some importance but is pale when it comes to eternity. Just this morning I had a slight brush with death (health related) everything has seemed to self correct itself and I'm still the mean ole so-and-so that I've always been; but at 3:00 am EST I was shall we say un-nerved. I would like to suggest we rethink our priorities.

Poll needs more questions.
None of them fit my needs so I can't vote.

I own multiple pistols & revolvers in the same caliber.

yeah, the poll answers don't make sense. if you vote option 3, wouldn't 1 also be true? possibly 2 as well?

and life's ultimate questions are more along the lines of:
who are we?
where did we come from?
where are we going?

I am in the business of helping people answer life's ultimate questions. I have one .357,one .38, one 40 cal., one .22 pistol, and one 9mm and like all of them.

On eternal things? I'll cling to the One.

I have multiple pairs of the same model, barrel, grips, caliber ect in a few guns. (2) .44mag super redhawk (2) .357 blackhawks (2) .41 mag S&W (2) .22 buck mark (3) .45 colt 1911

There are only four and a half useful pistol cartridges:

1. The .22 LR. I own two .22 Automatics, one .22 revolver and two M1911s with conversion kits.

1 1/2. The .38 2pecial. I own two revolvers (one in the possession of my oldest daughter.)

2. The .357. I own three revolvers (one in the possession of my oldest daughter.)

3. The .45 ACP. I own three automatics (two currently wearing .22 conversion kits.)

4. The .45 Colt. I own three revolvers, two Ruger Blackhawks and one Colt New Service.

.45's are quickly make-in' like rabbits in the safe! Not sure what goes on in there but its getting crowded!

Mine too, and I know why. Its because 357SIG's are replacing them, and the .45's just get to see me when the safe's door is open. :)

I can't count that high! Lots of 22's - check! Lots of .38's - check! Lots of .45's - check! It would take too long to figure out how to vote, and there might be a tie - need more options!
