I have 2 of the .308 conversions. Both work fine with a variety of ammo. They shoot suprisingly good. My brother has one that didn't work. Too much gas pressure. He had his machinist neighbor make up a new gas plug that had a screw to adjust the gas flow. Now it runs fine.
I would think a 1911 would work. A 9mm/38S slide and magazine. Seems someone made some 1911 barrels sometime back for the Tok round. Otherwise the barrel will be the hard part to get.
I'd go for the Enfield too. Although I have good examples of the others. If you get an Ishy beware. I have one that works perfect but I have seen several that gave sticky extraction. Remeber they are 7.62X51 NATO and not a .308 Winchester. The .308 operates at higher pressure and that may...
I have an original #5 that shoots very well and has never had any zero problems.
I bought one of the Ishpore's in 7.62 and put a Leupold scout scope on it. Dang thing shoots 1 1/2" and better. It just needs a trigger job now.
What scope mount is that on all these guns?
I want a M1 carbine in 10mm Magnum that was made for the Auto-mag. Would be easy for Auto-Ordinance to build em. mags could be moded or new ones that held 30 would be nice. Could do it in 9mm Win. Mag. too. A 10 Mag. necked down to .30 would pep up the 'ol M1 too.
I have run over 12,000 rounds through a group of AR's with no problems what so ever. The older laquered ammo was a problem but the newer ammo with the polymer coating around the base runs great. The coating keeps the steel case from causing excessive extractor wear. Great practice ammo. It is...
I would go with the Kahr PM9. Fills the pocket gun niche for me in many types of pants. If wearing nicer slacks I have found the rear pocket preferable to the front pocket.
I have a Grizzley and the rifling is quite shallow and it wont take lead at much over 1,000 fps without a gas check. I see your using a T/C and I have no idea what the rifling looks like in those. I would use H110 or Win. 296 with a max charge of 23 to 24 grains (work up to it).
I have a Tiger carbine and with good ammo it shoots sub MOA easily. I still need to dig up some 10 round mags for it though! That stock on the earlier post looked good too!
