Your local store..."doing the right thing"?

As I see it they are either with us or against us. If they are willing to pay panic prices but aren't willing to help defend the right to make those purchases in the future then they part of the problem.

Your local store..."doing the right thing"?

My idea of doing the right thing would be for every FFL dealer to take a minute during each sale and, along with the usual BATF paperwork, fill out a membership form for the NRA and sent it and 25 bucks in in the name of the buyer. All of these panic buyers paying $1500 for an AR which sold for...

    Rueters Report on gun shows

None of the AR-15s I own are Assault Weapons. The are just basic sport/utility rifles.

Man loses CCW in movie theater and kids find it!!!! Come on!!! BE CAREFUL EVERYONE

I open carry 90% of the time and always use a holster with active retention. My daily carry holster is my Uncle Mikes Pro3 triple retention duty holster. No way my gun is falling out if that.

    Denny's TV commerical... pro-2A?

Just to be clear.... Dennys corp policy forbids guns in their resturants except for LEOs. htp://www.WAFB.com/GLOBAL/story.asp?S=13201632 They are not gun friendly. Spend your money somewhere else.

So, how do you pay for your hobby of guns?

I work nights and weekends, 40 hours a week, as a hospital security officer making about 28K a year. That pays my bills and leaves a tiny bit left for my ham radio and gun hobbies.

Why Lee Lapin changed his name here...

Back in the 1980s I read a couple of books with a character named Yale in them. When I needed a name for various games such as D&D or Mechwarrior (old role playing or board games) and needed to name a character I often chose Yale as the name for one of them. Later, when I joined the 56K...

    Church security

Just to add to the conversation, Louisiana bans Conceal Carry in churches unless the carrier has 1-A valid La CHP, 2-attends 8 hours of tactical training per year, 3-is part of his church's recognized security team. Source- http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0710/39466.html

    Open carry question

It's not just the holster that retains the gun. You have to do your part too. Get some weapon retention training as well as some defensive handgun training from a reputable instructor. Decent retention hosters can be found for $30 - $50 in many cases. If you have a popular make/model of a...

    February 14th Support Starbuck's.

Regarding the planned Starbucks protest by the National Gun Victim's Action Council (NGAC).... Here's an idea I've seen passed around on another forum. When going to Starbucks to support them on Feb 14, first stop by your local bank branch and swap some of your money (1, 5, 10 or 20 dollar...
