Did you notice? One of the "evil" assault "type" weapons Diane Feinstein would ban is a Hi-Point carbine. 10 rounds no-less!!

Of course, they are black, have a pistol grip, and some of the newer models can be ordered with a vertical foregrip.

"Hey Diane. They fire a pistol cal. round from a 10 round magazine". Isn't this what you asked for? Oh yeah...an inch here, a foot there and a few miles later. We all know how you people work.

I don't know about you guys, but years ago I owned one of the old school, "Planet of the Apes" looking carbines. I paid $175.00, .40 cal., and it functioned flawlessly. They look a lot cooler now (and are priced more accordingly). I think I will contact my ffl and order one (my ffl sells these at a very decent price when he can get an order in)

It just really galls me. They talk about "assault rifles" and hi-cap rifle magazines...Then they include an American made pistol cal. carbine on their "evil" ban list.

Yeah, HiPoint was used in Columbine IIRC.

The CX4 Storm is the one that got me. I guess it killed a lot of Cylons.

Heck my .45 model only holds nine rounds!

So because some miscreant used one in a shooting 13+ years ago... man that is weak even by Feinstein's moronic standards.

Yes...One was used at Columbine. So in all candor, I suppose that this has some "political" significance.

Using this line of thinking...If during the tragedy at Columbine (and it most certainly was a horrible tragedy committed by insane people), one of the shooters had used a revolver to commit their crimes, would that revolver then make her list?

Its a flawed list in so many ways. The Mini-14 is on the list but not the 30! Its an ill conceived hatchet job

Yeah, HiPoint was used in Columbine IIRC.

During the first AWB.

They banned what they did and a company made a carbine that was compliant. Said carbine was then used to commit the atrocity at columbine and instead of saying "wow these criminals will do this anyway regardless of laws and tools used. We should take a look at what exactly this is accomplishing."

They said lets ban them too. Its pathetic.

Ah yes, but the 995 does have an optional 15 round mag available.

Just be real quite and don't tell anyone about this. She included the Ruger SR 556, but not the Mini-14 Ranch Rifle or the Mini-30.

Also, I hate to tell these idiots ALL THEY WILL ACHIEVE with another AWB and stricter limits is to make otherwise lawful citizens to be categorized as criminals.

This will be especially true if they pass a national registration. There are many people who will see it FOR WHAT IT REALLY IS... A future confiscation list! Many otherwise honest Americans will not comply with the dictator. Sadly, a lot will comply but they will regret it.

Anytime the government tells you to turn in your rightfully owned property "or else," you'll do better to keep your stuff! Look at how FDR stole almost everyone's gold! Just an FYI just ONE ounce of gold is worth over $1750. About 8 years ago it was worth $650. Hmmmm. Deny inflation all they want. Nobody is falling for it.

Fool us once. Shame on you. (FDR with gold.)
Fool us twice. Shame on us. (Obame with guns.)

No, the Mini-14 TACTICAL is on the list, not the plain Jane Mini-14
".....its an ill conceived hatchet job"

That's the part of the post I was referring to.

I don't care whats on the list because their list means to me what the constitution means to them. Jack squat.

You people seem to think you're dealing with people who know what the hell they are talking about. They don't.

^ Sure they do. Put everything on the list, no matter how ridiculous, then we "compromise" back to what they really wanted.

It's all pretty clever, and they are good at being clever and manipulating things into a win-win situation for them.

If the list contains A, B, C, D, E, and F, and we object to A, B, and C, then they can tout the notion that D, E, and F are OK with us.

If we object to eveything on the list, we can be labeled as "not willing to negotiate."

Successive compromises over time is the name of the game.

Win-win for them, screwed-screwed for us.

So, . . . if they put the 995 Carbine on a "ban list" because it just happened to be used in Columbine, . . . . . isn't that equally as absurd as the mythical story of "punishing the snake [garden of eden] even though it was possessed by an evil angelic being"?

These "lawmakers" have no care about logic, . . . and apparently have the sole agenda of banning anything they don't like. How many 995 Carbines are out there in the country that have never taken a human life? 99+% ? Same goes for anything on their list.

What will tomorrow bring?

Exactly how does Senator Feinstein come up with her "Ban" list?
In reality, the 2A issue inflames politicians as it is one issue that illustrates the power of Americans at the polling place.
Sadly, the politicos NEVER FAIL to use a tragedy to advance their own political adgendas.
