in i just wanna get a 308:))))

will do guys, and thanks for all your help! I just got home from Vances. Spent a ton of money... :)

I was fortunate enough to get a salesman that has reloaded for over 40 years (one of only 2 that work there he said) and he was very helpful. I am sure I could have gotten off cheaper had I purchased other items of different brands that will do the same thing cheaper. I limited myself to what they had in the store and they had no Lee. just was tired of waiting on the UPS guy... :D Here is the short list of what I brought home.

R25 .243
RBCS Rock Chucker Supreme Master Reloading kit
Hornady .223, 22-250 - .243 dies
RBCS tumbler
Hornady trimmer with shell holders for .223, 22-250 - .243
CCI primers
1 lb. Varget and 1 lb. Alliant 15
50 rds Winchester brass
bipod
sling
hard case
had some Sierra and Nosler bullets in my hand at one point but I must have laid them down somewhere while I was in the store for this 1 1/2 hour process... they never made the trip home with me and aren't on the receipt...

So I have most everything I need in one morning. I will get the scope mounted and bore sighted today and take it a friends house tomorrow and sight it in and get it functional to hunt coyotes. then I will be ready to setup the loader and get started with the it after I get some bullets. thanks again for getting me started guys! I'll be in touch!

dude I'm jealous that is one serious shopping day! you'll be very happy with what you bought! try the sierra varminters, I have had great luck with accuracy

Congrats. Nice buy. Cannot go wrong with any of that!

I also have the RCBS motorized case prep center and that is one of the best investments I ever made. It makes the hard prep work very easy.
What I have done is fabricating an adapter so I can use the LEE trimmer in the RCBS station so, very quickly, I have the case perfectly trimmed to size, chamfered and deburred in no time and the result is always virtually identical cases. I presort the cases by brand, batch, nr. of firings, weight, etc..

I didn't see any reloading books in your list but I highly recommend you read one or two before you start. Reading and experience will allow you to discover amazing loads but the book and education will allow you to start doing this SAFELY!!!

Reloading is serious business and that's why some manufactures might void the warranty and all liabilities as soon as you have a problem with a reload.
Many folks do not know this and blow up barrels (hopefully end up uninjured) and regardless if it was a reloading mistake or not then only they find out that the manufacturer denies any responsibility or warranty claim just because a reload was involved.

It doesn't happen a lot with rifles but many times with people shooting lead in auto loading pistols regardless all the warnings. It is in many firearms manuals. Corporate lawyers are not stupid.

Sorry for sounding like a broken record but do not rush into anything. Reloading is a task that requires some basic knowledge specially to be safe and cannot be disturbed by any distractions. Make it a ritual that can be very rewarding. For me is a time of solitude in my basement some of those long winter ninths and I devote my mind to it. No radio, no TV, avoid being too tired, etc...

Cheers.

I forgot, with the R25 be careful with some powder cleaners, the cammo is not the greatest material and it can bubble up. My buddy found out the wrong way.
Amazing system though. DPMS makes some very good systems.
Cheers.

There was a Speer Manual #14 included in the loader kit and I also got the DVD which I have already watched and was a great intro. I am safety conscious. I would be an NRA certified Shotgun Instructor had I sent them a fee... I took the course and passed the test, so I am no rookie with guns. I have been shooting for over 40 years. I have a concealed carry too, but I realize it is very important to stress safety all the time. I agree with your approach.

thanks for the heads up about the camo too!
