Can someone suggest a load recipe for 9mm 115gr FMJ, round nose plated bullets using Bullseye.
115 gr Speer GDHP OAL 1.125" Bullseye Max 4.7 gr (1,144 fps)
120 gr lead RN OAL 1.065" Bullseye Start 3.4 gr (939 fps) - Max 4.2 gr (1175 fps)
120 gr lead CN OAL 1.110" Bullseye Start 3.8 gr (1047 fps) - Max 4.2 gr (1124 fps)
Berry's regular plated bullets are rated to 1200 fps. The Thick Plated (TP) bullets are rated to 1450 fps. When using HBRN-TP bullets compared to the same weight RN bullets, due to the longer bearing surface, the bullet base will seat deeper in the case neck. Notice (see comparison picture below) that Berry's 115 gr HBRN-TP bullet has similar length as 124 gr RN and 124 gr HBRN-TP bullet is longer. Due to the hollow base and longer bearing surface, HBRN-TP bullets have been very accurate for me, outshooting my reference FMJ loads.1SOW said:Berry's has "new" 115gr RN "TP" (thick plated) bullet that will handle the full load range and more.
