It's really sad. NY used to have Savage, Ithaca, and Remington all making great rifles and shotguns here. High taxes, anti-gun sentimentality, drove the other companies away and forced Remington to sell out to a corporate entity. You can't even find a new Ithaca shotgun anywhere anymore. They were like the best pump shotguns ever. I wish things were different, Remington has such a great, long history.
