i have a gun marked j stevens a&t co usapat sept. 6, 1864 the barrel is around 18-20" long and the rear quarter of barrel is octagon it is a break barrel it has lyman front sight and the rear sight is rectangle shaped. when you break the barrel right above the serial number is the number 25 it has a stock thats slides onto the bottom part of pistol that aslo has matching serial numbers im wondering what this gun is called, the caliber, the value, and if you can find parts for them please help

Without pictures or a calibre, we'd just be guessing; Stevens made almost 200 different single-shots, including lots of different "pocket rifle" types.

Yes they do exist, do a quick google search and images pop right up. Saw one at an estate sale a while back but didn't work so I passed, now I wish I would have picked it up just for the oddity.
