I purchased a Buck 110 at the end of December and it included a $10 mail-in rebate - rebate had to be submitted prior to the end of January 2009 so I was in good shape. Sent in the original receipt and the product code - that was right after Christmas. Got a postcard today that informs me that the rebate was denied because "The sales receipt you submitted did not demonstrate purchase of the product required for the rebate."
Called the phone number on the card and got to automated robo-help. I was informed that my rebate was denied because the receipt did not demonstrate ...
Went to the website that was on the card and was informed that the receipt I submitted did not demonstrate ...
I bought the thing at Gander Mountain - does anyone know if the Gander Mountain receipts say "Stuff bought" or does it specify what you purchased? I think it specifies exactly what was purchased.
So, I'd like to know:
- Has anyone else purchased a Buck knife and been shafted on a rebate?
- Why would I want to purchase another Buck product again?
Beware of any rebates... Buck sucks.
