hksw,
You mention the overtravel regarding the BB.
I have 2, Glocks that I use 22 kits. The one is a Ciener and other is a Advantage Arms.
They are easily used between the 17 and the 22 Glocks.
My 17 is a 3 pound pull and my 22 is 5 pound pull (trigger)
The 5 is shorter but harder, the 3 is lighter but longer.
I noticed it quite a bit more using the AA (length of pull) than the Ciener.
What kind of pound pull are we talking about on the BB and Ruger Mk111?
What are (pull) the other fine shooters, that are used for plinking and not match?
The fact is these barrels are both 4" I believe if they had a 6" they would be really good shooters. As it is, they are not bad probabaly 1.5 at 10yds...really trying.
The makers of these units might go to a longer barrel but right now all I have been able to get are the short ones. I believe if they went to a longer barrel they would be less sensitive to the ammo out there. As it is now the 40 grn. hi vel (1250 fps) is the best thing going, if you drop below that weight you are in trouble. The extra 2 inch and the time in the barrel might allow you to have a better reliability factor.
