Well, there is one warning label that seems absolutely necessary in California:

"Warning: High office will FRY your brain!"

Probably some other places this oughta be put up, as well. :D

You all are not being fair to our good AG. I'm sure that once he gets the rules right we will see an end to illness, pain, ignorance, crime, and death. Sure they may side affects like no taste, no variety, no choice, and a huge uptick in costs. However, once the shaking out period is over we'll have nirvana.

The Soviet Union would have made it if Lenin or Stalin had just managed to live a bit longer and not have to turn operations over to a bunch of Namby Pambys. Of course the Dem controlled CA legislature and the current courts won't let anything like that happen here.

Meanwhile I'm trying to move back to Montana.

Don't be so hard on the good AG. He is merely a well-intentioned stooge of trial lawyers. TL's are looking for the next big litigation target. First it was asbestos, then it moved to tobacco, guns was picked but that decision was more political than mere rape and pillage. Somewhere along the line TL's picked up a side market in drugs. The motherload is fast food and Lockyer just started selling tickets to the game. His campaign fortunes will be enhanced by the thanks from the plaintiff's bar.

http://www.triallawyersinc.com/ and http://www.overlawyered.com/ size up the situation fairly well.

[Homer]ummmmmm, French Fries[Homer/]

In honor of AG Lockyer, I am going to go to lunch today and eat a big greasy bag of French Fries. :neener:

what is so wrong?

OK- you might not care what it is you eat, osme of us do , slightly anyway.
not that this will make me eat one less bag o fries, but i don't see why it is such a big deal to finally inform me that i am eating this weird chemmy.

But consumers should have the information needed to make informed decisions about their food, he said.

Acrylamide, a byproduct of chemicals and high heat, has been found at low levels in several foods. The lawsuit focuses on french fries and chips because they have more acrylamide than other foods, according to the Attorney General's Office.<<<<<

i never even heard of this. honestly, i think a news report every so often is plenty, or a note on the "nutrition info" signage at the restaurant, but what is everyone's objection with knowing what's in there.

ignorance is bliss i guess.

come on over to my house! i'm baking up all kinds of stuff, don't you worry about what i put in there!!! just pay me and eat it.

PS= what the heck is this thread other than California bashing???

im sure if i wanted to waste my time i could come up with plenty of wack laws being persued in one of your favorite states
