Does anyone else have a favorite gun.

For no logical reason My Smith Mod 37-1 Is my favorite gun of all time.
First saw one when I was a teenager (30 years aggo). My older friend had alot of guns. When I saw and handled his airweight it was love at first sight. He was always showing me his new guns from ruger 44mag to .45 auto ordanance tommygun.
The airweight J frame was always my favorite. When I was old enough and had the money I bought one. Had wanted a blued gun and all they had was nickel plated. I bought it anyway. Haven't been sorry. Its seen alot of miles.
One of the reasons I like it of course is the light weight for CCW.
When I was a teenager, I had no Idea about that so I can't say that was a factor for becoming attatched to this model.
Since, I have bought a SP101, Smith Mod60, and a 340 Pd. When the novelty wore off I still Have to say the Mod37 is my favorite. Its my preferred CCW. Its not even rated for +P. It has a bobbed hammer which to me is an advantage over my 340Pd because I can still fire it single action.
Again Wasn't a reason for becoming attached to this gun.

I have alot of confidence in it. I"m sure a 38 special (non+P) silvertip isn't the best SD round. I think the confidence comes from just liking the feel and having it around for so long. It feels like a part of my body.

I'm going to end now as not to get too mushy. I feel a tear coming on.

Does anyone else have a gun like this or am I..well you know?

I don't have it anymore, maybe one of these days I'll get another, but for me it would be the Smith and Wesson Model 19 "Combat Magnum."

When I was a teenager I saw a picture of one on the cover of "Guns and Ammo" magazine, and THAT was what a handgun was supposed to look like. It was the first handgun I ever purchased, and like an idiot I traded it off.

One day.....

Of the ones I've got now, it would be my Ruger Mk III, 22/45.

my favorite revolver of all time.!

my favorite auto loader is the xd service model. :)

My all time fave??? It's tough :scrutiny: it would like asking a parent who their favorite child is

Toss up between my HK P7M8, USP 45, USP 9, Italian 92fs, BHP or my Colt Python...see, tough to choose ;)

10 ring, i think you might have my all time favorite gun too. There was a colt 1911 you posted recently. Holly smolly!

My favorite handgun is actually a single action revolver. I first saw one in the movie where the guys put presidents masks on and robbed banks. I cant remember the name of it, but it had Kiano Reves in it. When I saw the guy wielding around that stainless, single action, long barreled impractical cannon, that was it. It looked so intimidating in the movie, and I got one,
It's the Ruger Super Blackhawk 44 magnum 7.5". I love it.

Hey Benelli12, that movie....

is called "Point Break". The name refers to the point (the peninusla) where they going surfing. It was a pretty good movie.

For feel, beauty and easy shooting, my 1903 Colt .32. For real shooting, accuracy and dependability, my Browning HP (it also has a great feel).

my kimber that came in is now number one on my list, and i think it will be seeing almost all of the range. Best 21'st present i coulda bought myself haha
