Back when traffic lights and stop signs were standardized it was thought that red was the most "stand out" color. Later it was discovered that red is actually in the back of our color spectrum and that red cars were involved in accidents more frequently than others.
This probably varies from one person to another but for me red does not stand out.

I went ahead and ordered that Hiviz multi-color front sight today.

I recieved the Hivis front sight today and installed it. "Multi-color" means that it comes with several inserts, 2 neon green, 3 hot pink and one plain white. The dot is not aligned in the sight frame. If I line up the sides of the sight with the rear notch, the dot is lopsided about fourty thousandths on an inch to the left.

As posted above, Red, and red cars get wrecked a lot more than all others, including, brake lights that blend with the red car, make for unseen change of reds cars attitude, as in stopping, quickly.

And FWIW, I turned down a Sig Blackwater, with Sig Night sights, front white/glow red, 2 rear dots, white/glow green, and went into the dark place, and the 2 green glow dots jumped out, but the front red glow was weak, hard to sight, acquire it fast.. unlike all my other front green-glow night sights. fronts..

GO GREEN Front, use rear green, yellow, orange or red, as the front will jump out between any of these rear 2 dots colors more using yellow, orange, and last red.

IMHO
