So on another forum there's a long running thread about posting a picture of what you carry every day. Some folks are being accused of loading their pics with things they really don't carry every day... like multiple handguns, flash lights, etc. This is a dedicated forum where this thread is located (1911's) and the weapons pictured are, as you can probably guess, mostly 1911's.

So, I got home tonight from watching a movie with my girlfriend (after midnight here). I decided to post on the other thread so I took everything I had on me off for a picture to show what I really carried tonight. I left pocket change, my watch and my wallet out of the picture.

So, don't stack the picture with a bunch of stuff you really don't carry every day, just post a pic of what you have on you right now. :)

Yeah, I couldn't resist. I'm only a few blocks from an Apple store where I work so it was torture not having one. :p

So you carry two handguns... interesting. Do you carry two handguns every day?

No, I actually don't carry them simultaneously. I carry the snubby at work because my employer is anti- and has a no-gun policy, so if I print at all I no longer have a job. The revolver conceals better so I carry it while at work. The USPc I carry before work and when I get off of work.

BTW, Sturm, what variety 1911 is that? That thing is SWEET! My next purchase is going to be a 1911 for carry. I think the single-stack design will work better for concealment/comfort.

Gotcha, makes sense. I know very few people who aren't cops that carry two handguns (BUG) every day. I am quite comfortable with just one...

Here is what I REALLY carry about 85-90% of the time. My old, beat up, bobbed hammer, S&W M60 .38 Special loaded with 129gr +P Hydra Shok JHP's, speedloader with more Hydra Shoks, carried in a cheapo Uncle Mike's Sidekick IWB holster, my wallet, my cell phone, keys, a Leatherman Wave multi tool, and a Zippo lighter (never know when you're going to need some fire).

The other 10-15% of the time I'll carry my Colt Commander loaded with 230gr Hydra Shok JHP's, also in a cheapo Uncle Mike's holster(not pictured), with a spare mag of Hydra Shoks, and my other usual stuff pictured. Very rarely, when I feel the need, maybe about 1% of the time or less, I'll carry both pistols plus everything else pictured.

I'm not a cop, I live in a small town with very low crime of any kind, so I just don't feel the need to carry anything more than my little .38 the majority of the time. The only time I carry the .45 is when I go out of town, on the road(usually stashed in the center console or under my seat), or in the "big city".

Sorry for the crappy pics, I kind of took them in a hurry.

That's my EDC. The knife is a Spyderco Native in S30-V, the cellphone is a run of the mill Samsun (no camera, even :p), and on my key ring is an REI whistle, a Photon III LED light, 6-in-1 UtiliKey, and a Victorinox Classic.

Sorry, no handguns, mostly because I'm living out of state right now and Oregon won't give a CCW to non-residents unless they have a "documented need," and I don't have the money ATM for a pistol.

Perhaps in a couple of years, I'll get one.

This is pretty standard for me:

Yes I actually carry all that stuff every day (with some rare exceptions):

1) Ruger P345 in Bianchi Minimalist goes on belt at appendix position.

2) Spare mag in carrier goes in left front pocket. That carrier keeps it well in position.

(When I get to work these two items stay in the truck console.)

3) Leatherman multitool goes on belt at 4:00 horizontally.

4) CRKT Crawford Falcon clips inside left rear pocket or in leg pocket if wearing certain cargo type pants.
5) Sabre defense spray clips inside left front pocket (usually goes in laptop case or in truck when I get to work)

6) Gerber mini folder used as money clip goes in right front pocket along with

7) Leatherman micra.

8) cell phone goes in shirt pocket or in belt carrier at 7:00

9) Wallet in right rear pocket.

Some days I will leave the Leatherman or the Pepperspray behind at home or in my truck (I keep a spare multitool in the truck anyway). If I know I'm going to be out at night I'll pocket a minimaglite that stays in the truck for that purpose, or a surefire.

At times when the P345 is impractical to carry (when I have to tuck my shirt in and look presentable) I pocket this little fellow instead:

Well, I'm at work right now, so no pictures, but what I carry depends on rather I'm riding my motorcycle or driving my truck.

If I'm on the bike, I carry a Bulgarian Makarov in a generic ambidextrous holster, with a spare magazine pouch on the holster. A mini-mag light, and a cheap "Trac-phone" are on the opposite side. A couple of Swiss Army knives, one in each pocket, my keys, change, wallet and comb for what hair I have left.

Driving the truck, the only thing that changes is the Mak is replaced with a Colt Commander in a Galco Holster, with a spare magazine carrier on the weak side.

Now, don't ask me about my "possibles" bag I carry. I got more junk in there than most women carry in a purse (different stuff of course). A couple extra pair of glasses (reading and sun, and prescription), stuff for my contact lenses, pens, pencils, pills, a mult-tool, a couple of folding knives and so on. I don't lug it around with me, but it's in the truck, or the bikes top-case.

My daily carry rig. Yes, this is actually what I carry every day. I took the photo when the holder was brand new. It doesn't look that nice now.

Ok emptied my pockets of what I carry around usually (unless I am in hot weather clothing). Glock 23 + extra mag, Kel-Tec P3AT, and my automatic Benchmade knife.

:D

FourTeeFive,

This Benchmade was issued to me by good old Uncle Sam in Iraq 03' or maybe this was the one that I was issued in Iraq 05' (I cant remember). Because I have a military ID card I can legally own/carry it here. You can however, in some states, have an automatic knife (if you care to spend $200+ on one because they are not cheap).

Are you guys carrying automatic knives LEO or are you just not too concerned about the laws? Not a criticism, just curious.
