I am considering a .40 cal, either the G27 or Kahr PM40.

Reasons to buy a G27:

I have a G23 and like the platform. This would provide some consistency for me.

I have read you can swap barrels in both guns for the .357 sig, which adds to flexibility and possibly a step up in power for 357. (Question here is, how much value does this provide as an option?)

It holds more rounds (10 v 7, I think).

Glocks are highly reliable.

Reasons not to buy G27:

It is a little larger and heavier than the Kahr. Concealability and ease of carry is a big reason for this purchase.

Reasons to buy the Kahr:

It is smaller and lighter and easier to carry. I think I will have to carry the G27 on a belt; The Kahr might work in some pockets or on a belt.

It seems to get good reviews on the boards and press.

Reasons not to buy Kahr:

I perceive it to have a small but greater chance of problems out of the box, but maybe that is due to earlier batches. The Glock reputation for reliability is probably better, however.

See advantages of Glock above.

Thanks in advance for thoughts.
