Yes Sir!, i got some extra coin and Im gonna set aside some of that for a new handgun. I just cant decide on a ccw in a 357 mag, a 9mm for a fun gun or go all out and get a colt 1911. I already own a 6" gp100 in 375, and a glock 19. I dont have any 45 cal, Im still a new shooter and only been at this for about a year and i go to the range once or twice a month . I love the look and history of a 1911 but im not sure if im ready. Id hate to make a new purchase of a "Safe Queen".
If I dont get the 1911, then its gonna between a Ruger lcr or sp101 in 357 mag. In 9mm it will be Sr9c or Kahr cm. The 9mm and 357 will leave me with some exta cash, but man that Colt 1991 Government sure is SWEET:D:D. Well anyhow thanks for letting me share my excitement because my wife can care less.. Best wishes

Any good gun collection should include a 1911 .45. I am not sure what you would not be ready for. Consider a Kimber or a Springfield Armory. You might need to spend slightly more than $1,000 but you will not be disappointed. If you are going for a 1911, don't cheap out with an off brand. You don't need to buy an uber expensive 1911 either. Remember that 1911's are very upgradable but you want to start off with a quality platform. I say buy a 1911 and don't look back!

If I had a grand and had 2 options--buy a gun, or give it back--I'd seriously consider a Browning X-Bolt in .243
