If you could only have one handgun, what would it be?

For me, its my 357 magnum, hands down. I can plink with 38 specials and load magnums for backcountry and personal protection. Its a great reloading caliber as well, everything from 110 grain to 200 grain bullets, soft points to lead to hollowpoints. To me, the 357 is the versatility king. Its also a proven manstopper.

As much as I like my 40's, if I could only keep one, it'd be the 357.

1911 with some sort of 22 conversion kit.

or

Glock 9mm with a 22 conversion kit.

There's cheap plinking.

My choice would be my Ruger KGP-141 .357 Magnum.

Since the grip is on a stud, someday mutant cockroaches who have inherited the Earth will be banging away with it and won't have to police their brass in order to get them back to the reloader.

Hard choice, I'd say a good all around round would be the .357 Mag. Now what gun? S&W or Ruger. Between the two I'd pick the S&W 686+ with a 4,5 or 6" barrel.

For a revolver, easily an S&W .357 L frame. Any model.

For a semi, a CZ 75 with a .22 conversion kit.

Custom 1911 with rail, night sites, ambi safety, beavertail safety with memory bump, and flat mainspring housing, in SS.

-Basically a Custom Kimber Warrior in SS. Les Baer makes it, but it is $2K more than the kimber. I decided to spend the $2K on ammo and training and deal with no SS.

with .22 conversion kit and .460 Rowland conversion.

HK USP .45.

I have affection for the Sig 220 also, dont have one though...yet.

That's a tough call. Either a Colt King Cobra 4" stainless. or
1911 in stainless. Probably Colt too.

One handgun? I would be torn between a S&W 19 4inch or 6inch and a 4 inch S&W29

This would depend on where I lived. Where I am at not it would be the 4 or 6 inch 19 and I would have to think long hand hard to choose.

Lots of smith revolver fans here, but my 357 is a Taurus Tracker 4 inch in stainless and I love it, 7 shot cylinder, ported barrel = pleasure to shoot. Its tight and accurate.

this one.
