If you could only have one handgun, what would it be?

This is not a personal attack DaleCooper51, but the reason I asked is that the .22 is pretty much a useless round. If you were confined to only a .22 revolver you wouldn't really be able to do much with it except punch holes in paper. Just seems a little weird to me. Interesting answer though...

I don't take it as a personal attack at all. I can also see how the 22lr could be considered less than optimal as a defensive round, but it is far from useless. I guess that I was thinking where I live, Im less concerned about ccw, than hunting, plinking and having fun. If I was thinking about an all around defensive handgun, I would probably choose my 3" model 65, but would prefer a 12ga if I ever ran into some troublesome situations.

I can see where you are coming from. I'd be hard pressed to choose between my 8 3/8 in. Model 27 and my Colt 6 in. Woodsman. I know one thing. The woodsman is with me and shot a whole lot more than any other handgun I own. And hardly any of it is at paper.
