Figured I would take the plunge on one of these since I've always liked the old "Trench Broom". The Missouri Walnut wood is nice, but I noticed that the front bead sight is slightly off center. It's attached to the bayonet lug/heatshield assembly, so is there any way to tweak it back to center?

If the heat shield is an aftermarket bolt on deal, then they can be adjusted by loosenign the hardware a tad and shifting the entire shield slightly to bring it in line.

Yeah the top end of that bolt coming back when you pump it, looks like your gonna get hit with a bus. Takes a little getting use to.

I have my grandfathers. He was born in 1895 and used one during WWI in France. The only model Grandpa used to hunt rabbits, squirrels & quail. He got off faster shots than Dad did with his Browning. I don't think it has a square inch of blue on it, built like a tank and hasn't been fired since 1965 and probably never will. I do believe it could handle low brass but don't want to chance it.
