I've never owned one but looked at a couple. The Nikkos are probably one of the best shotgun deals out there. Nikko shotguns were made in the Olin-Kodensha factory. The guns were made in the same factory and by the same people who were also making the Winchester 101. The Nikkos sell for far less than a used 101 and are the same gun for all intents and purposes.
I finally was able to locate a Tradewinds Nikko Shadow Indy M707 Trap gun with 30inch barrels IM/F in 95-98% condition (metal perfect, some few scratches on the wood).
For what I do, I would have preferred a 26inch IC/M gun, but I already have some of them for upland hunting.
But I bought the trap gun anyway, mostly just because it's so beautiful. And I do, occasionally, like to break a few clays, too...
Now I have to keep my eyes open for a Nikko Shadow skeet gun...
