Hello, I am new to this board. Need some help finding a parts diagram for a Sears Pre WWII Ranger .22 pump. Made by Savage, Very similar to Savage Model 29, (but not the same as). Tried Numrich, and a couple other sources. No luck. Does Anyone have a parts diagram and list they would copy for me? Reimburse copying and postage. Anyone have one of these to allow comparison? It possibly is a sears version of a Savage Model 75. Thanks, Ranger39

If you posted the model number somebody will surely cross reference it for you as to what the manufacture is.

Ranger 22

I do not think the rifle is marked with a model number. Other than on the barrel, where should I look for the number. The serial number is on the trigger housing, and is 137xxx R. Does that help? Ranger39

ranger,

www e-gunparts.com go to that site and use their search function they will have some schematics

Dagger Dog, e-gunparts is Numrich. They do not have anything close. Nothing Sears Ranger 22 Pump. I really need someone personal that has a RANGER SEARS pump Rifle or parts list & diagram. NONE of the commercial sources have one. Not Dicks, Not Bob's , not Numrich. SOMEONE who has some Pre WWII SEARS RANGER information, Please help me.

It is quite different than the High Standard in that posting. It may be a variation of a Savage Model 29, It is not a 29a or 29b and has differences with a model 29. If I can figure out how, I will post a couple pictures in the morning. Ranger39

Ranger pump pictures for identification

Here are a few pictures of the Ranger.22 I am trying to find the parts list and Maker for. It is not a Savage Model29a or 29b. It is similar bet different than a model 29. Note the 1/4" screw/pin just above the front of the trigger housing, in the receiver. Model 29's do not have that pin. Possibly it is a Savage/Stevens Model 75 Pump?? Any Identification help appreciated.

ranger,

It sure looks like one of the 29's ,29A, 29B Savage /Stevens clones. What part are you needing may be I can help in indentification, if it is that pin forward and above the trigger guard, that looks to be a take down screw. Alot of those old rifles were takdown models, I have a Remington 12 that is a take down. Look at the walls of the receiver , is there a bushing pressed into the receiver wall, usually there will be if it's a take down, one side will have the threads the other will be smooth.

Dagger Dog, The rifle is on it's way to me. When I get it I will determine exactly what is missing. I know it is missing the firing pin, the extractor springs ,and possible some other part in that neighborhood. I was told the trigger assembly and the hammer assemblies are there and work. That pin above the trigger guard is not the takedown bolt. The rifle is a takedown, but the bolt is further back, and is there. Ranger39
