Remington 1100 action spring?

I took my action spring out for the first time on this 1100 and it measures 14.5", I've read that a new one is 15", do i need to replace it?, the gun works fine,
where can you even get one, i can't find anywhere online

If the gun works don't worry about it. The OAL is not super critical and varies a fair bit from batch to batch.

mcb is correct, but if you absolutely have to have a new one I use this sight for just about anything that is of older make and here is the spring you are talking about.

Just make sure the bolt assembly isn't contacting the back of the receiver, hard, on the inside.
