6. Roger Moore: Hoplophobia
Being The Man With The Golden Gun gave Roger Moore a nervous tic. The star of seven James Bond films was decidedly more shaken than stirred by his License to Kill firearms.

"The only acting I ever did was trying not to blink because as soon as I pick up a gun I start blinking," said Moore at a 1993 UNICEF fund-raiser.

I saw an interview with him once, in which he chuckled that the director(s) was always frustrated that he blinked fiercely when he pulled the trigger. "I'm a coward, you see," he proclaimed, smiling.
He never was my favorite bond.

He ain't the only actor who blinks...Mel,Bruce,Tom..I've caught them all blinking...kinda funny....

First off, the Bond character as played by Moore was NOT "The Man With The Golden Gun" . . . that was the assassin. (Scaramanga?) IIRC, in the book it was an SA Colt revolver, but in the movie they gave the assassin something that looked like a cross between a zip gun and a kid's "Transformer" toy.

Don't forget Clint, aka "Dirty Harry." In slo-mo, I've caught him blinking in more than one of his movies.

the golden gun...if my memory is somewhat still lucid, i think that stupid prop gun didn't even have any sights!

or, perhaps the point of it was that the bad guy was so preternaturally good, that he didn't even have to aim... :scrutiny:

I'll have to admit that I wouldn't do very well in his place. I'd pick up some of the guns I've seen in those movies, and I'd be immobilized by staring at it and chuckling... "heheheheh...."
