S&W Model 60

A coworker of mine recently inherited a S&W Model 60, which appears to be in mint condition, still with its original box, serial R78xxx. He wants to know when it was made and what it might be worth. Can anyone help?

The Standard Catalog of S&W 3rd Ed. says the "R 78xxx" serial numbered guns were mfg. from 1970 -'73.

Aprox. value in above average condition would be around $450 IMHO.
