I posted this in the gunsmithing section and didn't get many opinions (1 to be exact), so I am going to try it here.......mods, move it if it doesn't belong -

I just got around to shooting my G20 with the 3.5# connector in it.........I think it's terrible. I will be sticking the OEM connector back in when I break down the gun for cleaning later, but here is my question - who has them (Scherer 3.5#) and likes them, or who has them hand hates them.

It just seems very inconsistent; I can't tell when it's going to fire.........no take-up, just a long pull and sudden bang.
The funny thing is, if you go on Midway's site (where I ordered it from) and look at the reviews from folks, and there are lots of 'em, they think these things are the best thing since sliced bread..........am I missing something?

I put one in my G17, and I have no complaints. Mine has a little more takeup than the 5lb connector, and feels a little more mushy, but the trigger still has a definite re-set, and the pull is a good bit lighter than with the stock connector. No complaints.

From the reviews I have read, I wonder if their QC maybe isnt very good... I guess I got lucky with a decent one.

I have a one in a G17. It IS the greatest thing since sliced bread.

There is also a difference of opinion on the Glock forum about them.

The Glock Factory (-) connector (they used to call it the 3.5, now they call it the 4.5) might be a better option - at least it's consistent. The take-up is a tad longer than the stock 5.5, but the break and reset are still fairly predictable.

I had a pair of Lone Wolf 3.5s in a 23 and a 27, I also switched back to the stock after a bit. I just liked the more defined break point of the 5.5.

I think that while the 3.5s reduce pull weight, the way they do it makes for a less nice pull to me.

I'm loving my scherer 3.5lb connector, its a little squishy on the take up but it breaks nice and crisp.

let me know if you find a place to get them in North America.

A Wolff lightweight plunger safety spring makes the break point more easy to find, especially on the light connectors, because it makes the take up really light.
