Slim 9mm

I would love an EMP but they are pricey. The Kahr's cannot be trusted (from my experience).

If only Glock made a single stack 9mm sub compact. May end up with a Glock 36 since that is the closest thing to what I want.

I like my SLIM and can recommend the pistol to you. I did have to send mine back to taurus, but < 5 weeks and it came back. Has hundreds and hundreds of rounds through it now and it runs perfectly. I'd trust my life to it.

Personally, I like the looks and handling of the 907. Only problem for me is the name stamped on the slide. Recognizing that each person's experiences are unique and not to show any disrespect or start arguments, I have to say that I'm not in the market for a car, television, computer, or pistol that has to go back to the factory. I'll stick with my 3rd generation S&W nines. My 908 is slender, accurate, and hasn't seen the factory since it was shipped back in '02. The 6906 I keep as a bed gun is a police trade in and I don't expect it to need anything besides spring replacement.

I've been uber impressed with my wife's 9mm PPS.

Accurate, reliable (800 rds of assorted fmj/jhp ammo thru it with zero malfunctions), easy to shoot.

About the size of a PPK/S. .9 " thick.

Check one out.

I would vote for the keltec of your choices. My personal choice would be a kahr pm9/cw9

I like the metal-framed Kahrs, but not the polymer ones. Night and day difference in feel. Check them out.

Nice pitch, what do you work for walther or something. Come on. I have a PPS, it's a great gun, but what is this?

smoketheresfire, that's a cut&paste from the PPS launch site.

As far as "What CC 9mm?" questions go ... the PPS is an excellent answer, I pack one myself, and would recommend that anyone looking for a compact 9mm try one out.

But what happened to rental ranges? There are TWO THREADS RIGHT NOW on this exact question, and countless ones archived ... go try a few and see what you like, OP ... if you were a friend of mine, I'd happily open up my safe and supply a few boxes of ammo for you to experiment with, because NOTHING matters more than fit in YOUR hand.
If a pistol is ergonomically correct, it can be made reliable with basic maintenance and careful ammo selection. If a pistol fits your hand, you will actually find a way to carry it, because you will feel confident in it. If a pistol is comfortable for you, recoil will be manageable without some silly bulk-adding grip sleeve.
What fits my hand won't help you.
What fits anyone's hand but yours (and a potential identical twin's, I suppose) is irrelevant.
What fits your hand might surprise you, and your local friend with a bunch of guns (or your local rental range) has the answer.

I vote PPS as well, have one in 9 and 40, great pistols.

Pistol Whip posted a link to a site that calls it Police Pistol Short
It is actually Slim not Short although that site appears to be an official Walther site..hmmm.

The more I shoot my Taurus Slim, the more i realize what a well designed pistol it is. It fits my hand like a glove and is very accurate. Recoil is very entertaining and not hard on the hands. The trigger is very nice. I think that having the safety is very desirable. I'm not pushing these, but i believe Taurus really got this right in spite of the few problems. I've had zero failures to feed and eject in probably 1000 rounds or more. The problem i had was the trigger bar apparently getting in the way of a complete hammer strike on the cartridge. Sure, the adjustment should have been made to tolerance at the factory. But i've really got a great gun with loads of future so to speak. It's a wonderful range gun. I have the Kahr PM9 and E9 and they are super pistols with zero faults, but the size of the Slim and performance make me really like shooting it. As one person said, the way the gun feels in the hand is very important. There are several Taurus guns i'll never own due to manufacturing or design problems. This Slim is not one of them obviously. It's truly the perfect size.

keep in mind that ALL the pistols mentioned so far are thin and light. The fractions of an inch widths and fractions of an ounce weight differences won't feel all that different if you're carrying with a decent belt and holster. Individual fit is always most important. Which one do you like? Which one feels best in your hand? Which one do you shoot the best?

(Getting answers to these questions is the fun part. We all know as soon as you get your next pistol you'll start shopping for your next pistol!!)
