Talk to me about Nashville...

Would August 9th be good for everyone?

I would love to attend this shoot.

Also on the 9th is a local match at NTPS (www.ntps.org) in Dickson. If any of you would like to go to the match, it is a lot of fun. Just PM me. It is definitely more fun than just punching holes in paper....but, that's fun, too.

It's worth getting up early for! :D

Would you consider doing the shoot on the afternoon of the 10th?

Where is it to take place? Ashland City? (on that state range?)

That range that ya'll went to last time (with all the pictures) looked very nice, too.

BTW, I guess we are still talking about Nashville, but maybe this deserves a fresh thread.;)

Works for me.

The range in Ashland City is free for those of you whom haven't been. I went yesterday and the range was kind of rough. Hopefully, the WMA will replace the target boards soon.

The other place from the previous pics Bowlcut posted was Owl Hollow. They have a real jerk working there as a range officer, and I swore I'd never go back, but I will if that's where everyone wants to go. (btw, not free...)

Academy of Self Protection in Joelton has an 8 lane indoor range if we wanted to do a handgun/shotgun only shoot. ($12 per person!)

OT..i know..sorry!

Darrin: just noticed your signature...that's awesome! :)

On Topic: hmm...august 9th, saturday...I wonder how long of a drive that is from Iowa...I wouldn't mind checking out the old house, and nothing against putting lead downrange with good folks! :D

I'm in, just firm up a date. Ashland city is closer for me but anywhere is good. I'm gonna have to join Owl if I bring the family. Range dude charged full price for the 8 yo son too the last time. No biggie.

Steelharp, was Tex there in the early '80's? I think Sony rolled them in-house around '83-4??

Hmmm.......

Sounds a bit like a thread highjack so feel free to start another one.

August 9 would work for us. Saturdays are better because then we don't have to rush and think about being at work the next day. I will be in Baltimore from Aug 1 to Aug 6, driving around unarmed, so that God forbid, I don't break any laws...

So I know I'll be craving some therapy that weekend...

And Darrin is right - judging by all the replies, we should have quite a turnout... How about that Cheatham county range? We haven't been there.

Note to self: bring the camera.

Edited: August 10 would be just fine too. I think a couple of us had some issues with the range officer, so if you know of any other range, cool. When is the Percy Priest Lake one opening? Wasn't is supposed to be July?

Intune, Tex (my Dad) started there in '67. He worked there until Fred Foster closed up shop, in '86, I believe it was. That was when Monument was THE independent label; wish we had more shining stars like it on Music Row now. Our business might actually begin to thrive again.
