The one pistol that you regret not buying!

The only firearm I regret not getting was a 30" Parker VH in 12 gauge. The seller wanted $900. I only had $700. It was easily worth $1400. The rest, either I got or could live with out qualm.

But I still see that damn shottie on the table...

I wish I would have bought every OD green glock I could find when they are available. I have a couple OD and a couple FDE but I like the OD better.

Only a handful really 'got away'.

I could have bought a Colt King Cobra for $425ish in a consignment case, went back a couple days later with cash GONE. LGS owner told me "just so you know next time I will take a deposit for anything in the case."

I never thought to ask that of a gun shop. lesson learned. Ask.

Back in the late 80's (or early 90's, I don't remember) a local gun shop was going out of business, selling off their remaining stock for their cost. They had a Colt Delta Elite in 10mm (is that redundant?), just sitting there, that I had looked at before and the next time I went they were closed for good.

Last week... HK P7 PSP w/6mags, B+, box and full tools $900. What was I thinking? Gone.

Les Baer Thunder Ranch for $700. I didn't want to put it on the credit card. Came back a few hours later with the cash and it was gonzo.

:what:

If I had the money, I'm not sure I could walk away from that one. I mean, if you had the cash you could have just paid it off the same day, or at the end of the month and not even paid any interest on it!

I have sort of a half regret. When I bought my first pistol, I bought a Sigma in 9mm instead of a Glock 19. While I like the Sigma, I wish I would have gotten the Glock, but only for the fact that Holster shopping would have been easier, and mags are half the price.

Had a chance to buy a Colt Lieutenant Commander....not to be confused with the "light weight commander". Only a few of these made...and I did not seize the moment.
