I was going through a bunch of old gun photos and thinking about all the pistols I've sold and regretted. None more so than a Bergmann M1910 that I sold when I was a starving college student.

So, which gun do you most regret selling?

without a doubt I regret selling my dad's .38 Colt service revolver to my best friend. I was hurting for cash and my buddy said he would sell it back to me someday. Now he won't let it go until he dies. I'm older so maybe if I eat vitamins and watch my wait I can get it back before I'm gone :D at least I can fondle it whenever I like since we shoot together often

Got into a financial squeeze some years ago. Had to let a set of stainless steel S&W's go. A Model 629 Classic, 4 inch .44 magnum,..a 686 no dash 4 inch .357,..and a 4 inch 651 in .22 magnum,....

Geeze that hurt to have to do,...and it still does,.....

A no-frills, used, $400 Springer Milspec.

I swapped the MSH out for a flat one, installed a long trigger (colt 1991A1 take out), and rubber Kimber grips before it left the store. I had a bunch of parts I bought for it and intended to install (or have installed), but never got around to it. The more I shot it, the more I wanted to leave well enough alone.

Late 1980's production S&W Model 29. It had an accident and the barrel got damaged and the rear sight broke off...I sent it back to S&W for repair and had them put on a 4" barrel and repair and reblue it.

I did not sell it, I was going out of country for a few months, and had an acquaintance hold onto it. When I got back, I found out the "individual" had pawned it and I could not find them...

3 screw Ruger single six ,22/,22 mag. purchased at a base BX in Germany 1966ish. Had to sell it because the college didn't allow firearms in dorm. Imagine that. I bought another one last year... just because.

It's the only firearm I've ever sold. But I have given away a couple.

Years ago I had a mint condition Mauser Broom-handle (red 9) complete with stock-holster. I was in a bind for money and I came out worse than a TSA cavity check.
Also had a first year production Colt Diamondback 4 inch in 38 special. I had to sell that one to pay off a huge bill my ex-wife rang-up.
The same thing happened with a High Standard "Victor" 22...

Man I gotta stop thinking about this...

without a doubt I regret selling my dad's .38 Colt service revolver to my best friend...... Now he won't let it go until he dies.

It was your dad's gun and he won't reunite you with it? What a jerk!!! Best friend? I think not.

my buddy said he would sell it back to me someday

Obviously it's his as you sold it to him and he's not legally obligated to sell it back. But to stand in between a son owning his father's gun is just selfish beyond acceptability.

Colt Python in 38 special. The target pistol with an 8" barrel. Had the box and everything. This gun SHOT!! Clay birds on the bank of the range at 100 yards were commonly dispatched.

My brother wanted my Sig P232SL so I sold it to him. I missed it so much I bought another one though. Now we're both happy. :D

Beretta 96fs with Crimson Trace grips. Not fancy, not extravagant...but it was a sweet shooter that I need to replace.

The SW Model 19 with 6" barrel. My wife told me I would regret it and I did almost instantly. I've never sold another. And that was in 1977. Since that time many have come and none have left.

Taurus PT140. Nothing special about it, other than it was my first gun and carried daily until I got something better. Still shouldn't have let it go though.

I did sell it to a friend's father, who enjoys it thoroughly. I have other guns that fill its role now and I know it is being used well by its current owner, so I've moved on.

My S&W 3913LS. When I passed it across the counter to the UPS agent for the final time I had a brief, almost overwhelming urge to snatch it back. But I needed the money and a deal is a deal.
