Long time reader, first time poster here - usual hangout is rimfirecentral.com. Highly recommend checking out their Browning sub-forum for great Buckmark info. Very helpful and good folks.
Here's a photo of mine. Agree with the above mentioned mods:
-Heggis trigger flip - you will not believe the improvement.
-Sight rail and dot optic sight - shrunk my groups smaller than my Hammerli 208 with iron sights. Recommend a Burris FastFire, that Docter is overkill.
-Slide with "ears" - if you have a model that does not have the ears - you can get a replacement slide directly from Browning. Makes a difference if you put a sight rail on.
-Target type trigger - also strait from Browning.
-Suppressor - just can't beat it
-Smoothing out action - if it is new, simply polish the contact areas inside the slide with a small block of wood with fine sandpaper. Really smooths up the action and is pretty much the same as putting several hundred rounds through it.
-Magazine Safety - Take that bit of useless wire out.
Also - if you are going to shoot it a good bit (and you will) when you order parts from Browning highly recommend getting some items for a parts kit:
-Front Sight Screw - get 2 because as they wear from take down, Locktight will not keep them in place after 100rnd or so. Just replaced mine after 2yrs and it stays tight.
-Firing Pin - just in case
-Extractor + pin + spring - easy to loose with stripping
-Slide Buffer - if the gun's used, it might be worn.
